I thought it appropriate to share this vid with you Frantic Fooders. It’s got a few of my favourite grub in Montreal. I’m not surprised that the more highly media-sensationalized restos are in here, you’ll find the same ones on The Layover (what is it with stuck-up food god jerks like Anthony Bourdain who only glorify the glorified???) as well as on Bizarre foods. However, a special shout out does go out to Romados, living 3 steps away from you means half chicken and fries plate everyday for the rest of my life. Also I love Jane…the mac n’ cheese pizza is definitely all that and a box of KD! thanks for keepin it real folks!

Momofuku! Yeah I said it! Whut?

I’m still trying to get into Momofuku Noodles or any of their 2 other sister locations in New York this holiday season, but it’s harder to book a table there than get 2 seats for the Habs Stanley Cup playoffs last game of the season. When did ramen noodles and crispy duck become so nouveau-riche? They even have reservation scalpers for this place.

What’s the fuss? The best fried chicken according to every NYC blog I’ve read, which feeds 4-8 people. It’s 100$ for 2 chickens done 2 ways, and I know what your thinking: who pays 100.00 CAD or 87.54 USD for soup and fried chicken! Well everyone and they Momofuku brova! Reservation for their signature duck or fried chicken meal can only be taken a maximum of a month in advance online, just in case you had any ideas, they don’t pick up their phone ever…arrgghh!
